This policy explains how Tikhon Stupka, a photographer and creative in Los Angeles, California (“I”, “me”), handles the personal information of visitors to this website.

What type of information do you collect?

• Contact details and messages. Your first name, last name, email address, phone number and the message you write when you use the contact form, email me or message me on Instagram (@stupka.art).
• Technical information. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and when you visit. This may include basic site statistics provided by Wix.

I do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as government IDs, payment card numbers, precise location or health data. Please do not send any through the site.

How do you collect information?

• Directly from you. When you fill in the contact form or send me an email or Instagram message.
• Automatically. Through cookies and similar technology that run when you visit the site, as described below.

Why do you collect such personal information?

• To reply to your inquiries and to arrange or deliver photography work.
• To keep the website working and secure, and to understand which pages visitors view.
• To meet legal obligations and protect my rights.

I do not use your information for automated decisions or profiling.

How do you store, use, share and disclose your site visitors' personal information?

Storage. Your information is stored by the service providers I use: Wix (which hosts this website) and my email provider (Google Gmail). I use reasonable measures to protect it, including a secure (HTTPS) website, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Use. I use it only for the reasons listed above.

Sharing and disclosure. I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it for advertising. I share it only with the service providers named above, and only so they can run the site and my business. I may also disclose it if the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect safety or rights.

Retention. I keep contact form messages and correspondence for as long as needed to respond, and for 12 months afterward unless we are working on a project together. I may keep information longer where the law requires.

How do you communicate with your site visitors?

I reply to inquiries by email or phone, using the details you gave. I do not currently send newsletters or marketing emails. If that changes, I will update this policy first.

How do you use cookies and other tracking tools?

The site may use cookies that are needed for it to work and, if enabled, for basic analytics. I do not currently run ads on this site. I plan to use Google Ads in the future. Before I start using Google Ads or any other advertising or tracking tool, I will update this policy to explain what information those tools collect and how you can opt out (for Google, in your Google Ads Settings). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may then not work as intended.

Browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common standard for it, this site does not change how it works in response to that signal. Currently, other parties do not collect your personal information through this site for their own advertising.

How can your site visitors withdraw their consent?

• Cookies: change your browser settings to block or delete them.
• Your information: email me to ask me to delete or stop using the personal information you gave me, such as your contact form details. I will respond within 45 days.

Privacy policy updates

If I change this policy, I will post the new version here with a new effective date. I will rewrite it whenever the advertising tools I use change, including before I begin using Google Ads. If the changes are significant, I will also post a notice on this site.

Additional notices for US residents

California. The California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives California residents the right to know what personal information I collect and to get a copy, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive information, and to not be treated differently for using these rights. I do not sell or share personal information and I do not collect sensitive information, so there is nothing to opt out of or limit. In the past 12 months I collected identifiers (name, email address, phone number, IP address), internet activity (pages viewed) and the content of messages you sent me, directly from you and from your browser, and disclosed them only to the service providers named above.

To use a right, email me at tikhonsphotography@gmail.com. I may ask you to confirm your identity by matching details you already gave me. An authorized agent may submit a request for you with your written permission. I will respond within 45 days and tell you if I need more time. Under California's “Shine the Light” law you may ask which personal information I shared with third parties for their direct marketing; I do not share it for that purpose.

Other states. Residents of other states with privacy laws, such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Texas, may have similar rights. Email me and I will honor reasonable requests. If I deny a request, you can ask me to reconsider.

Children. This site is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 16. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I will delete it.

Links to other sites. The site links to Instagram and may link to other sites. Their privacy practices are their own, and I am not responsible for them.
